What if there were rifts that would take you straight to random coordinates and planet, like in Day of the Doctor? My theory on them is that they would be rare and work sort of like a nether or end portal, meaning that items could go through them, animals could go through them, and players as well. Maybe if you throw a fez in, some Easter Egg would happen? Let me know here if you have any answers or add-ons to this question.
