In the Episode the junk tardis seems like a more hazardous way to journey the time vortex, time travel without a shell
You could get junk tardises by
finding scrap bits of tardises over the world and crafting them into a tardis
or by finding a crashed one in the world
the main reason this is important is because tardises are a pain to get but mostly because they are so efficient, so the junk tardis would be an early game alternative
to aid with this the junk version of what it could look like tardis would only be able to travel to selected dimensions, such as Trenzalore, Skaro, Nether, Overworld and Mondas, this would help as it would not completely be able to do as much as a tardis because its not meant to and it would be great for early game.
